Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Vibrant notes of dried raspberries and cranberries mingle with hints of summer savoury herb and clove, followed by delicate dried flowers and lilac with a hint of choke cherry. The palate opens with juicy raspberry and leather notes, supported by seamlessly integrated tannins and oak. It’s soft, rounded texture carries savoury undertones, complemented by a refreshing wet stone minerality.
Winemaker Notes
The fruit was hand picked in the mornings of Oct. 4th, 9th, and 20th from our vineyards in Oliver and Osoyoos. Fruit was immediately brought to the winery, where it was hand sorted and crushed. After a 3 day cold soak, a 27-day fermentation began, which was followed by the wine being put into barrel for Malolactic fermentation (MLF), which took place over the winter months. After MLF was complete, the wine was racked back to tank to get a homogeneous mix and then again back to barrel, where it sat and matured until it was ready for bottling.
18 months in French oak, 40% new.
