- VINTAGE DESCRIPTION:
The 2007 season started with warm weather early in the spring, which was followed by a cooler period through mid-May but gave way to a beautiful hot Okanagan summer. The warmth allowed the grapes to reach their full ripeness potential. A cooler September further intensified the fruit flavours, added complexity and resulted in good acidity. On September 29th the grapes were hand-harvested from our Okanagan Falls vineyard site.
- WINEMAKING:
The fruit was hand harvested and sorted followed by gentle pressing for maximum extraction. The free run juice then went through a cool two week fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
- TASTING NOTES:
Fresh fruit flavours and aromas of peach, apple, passion fruit and citrus compliment the luscious mid palate and continue to the crisp balanced finish. Vin° 243 – Riesling Du Monde, Judges comments, “Beautiful colour, rich aromas and superb complexity, a Riesling of Pleasure!”
