- VINTAGE DESCRIPTION:
The 2006 growing season was ideal
for the Okanagan Valley. A mild winter, with an early wet spring and good
consistent heat combined with dryer weather throughout the summer, was finished
off with warm fall weather. The resulting fruit was loaded with flavours and
complexity. Harvest for the Ex Nihilo Riesling was October 18, 2006.
- WINEMAKING:
Free run juice from gently pressed grapes was
slowly fermented in Stainless tanks at maximum temperature of approx 15 c.
- TASTING NOTES:
Heady aromas of peach, apple and
grapefruit tantalize the nose. The palate is loaded with flavours of passion
fruit, lemon and gooseberry with mineral undertones. Crisp acidity gives the wine
excellent structure with great cellar ageability
