Jeff and Decoa bring tremendous wine industry background to the management team, with a
particular strength in brand development, strategic positioning and winery operations. Their
close ties to the Napa Valley wine region affords them access to strategic alliances and the
latest in industry knowledge and direction. The Harders have recently established Ex Nihilo
Napa Valley and continue to work with the Rolling Stones on further expanding the Rolling
Stones wine portfolio.

Jay and Twila presently reside in Sherwood Park, Alberta. Their background has been in the agriculture sector, the cattle industry in particular. The Paulsons currently operate three beef related companies involved with brokerage, sales, livestock investment and farming. When time permits they find their way to the Vineyard to lend their farming and business expertise.

Consulting winemaker Dr. Alan Marks, one of the Okanagan’s premier winemakers, has been instrumental with the early success of Ex Nihilo’s wines. Winemakers Rob Thielicke and David Fredricks are passionate and dedicated to making Ex Nihilo wines stand paramount.
Vineyard Team
Karnail Sidhu: Regarded as one of the Okanagan’s leading authority in Organic Vineyard farm management, Karnail has worked with the Ex Nihilo team from the early planning stages. Karnail’s attention to detail and knowledge will continue to spearhead vineyard operations and ensure that Ex Nihilo continues to produce world class wines.
Kal and Nirmal Gidda: Grape growing is in their blood. As young boys the Gidda brothers have grown up in the Okanagan grape growing business. The brothers, since 1969 , with their father have developed and become one of the Okanagan’s largest family owned grape producers. The Gidda’s have lent their expertise and have contributed in the growing of grapes for the winery, with Kal Gidda managing the Okanagan Falls site.
Gordon Tucker: Retirement from teaching has never kept Decoa’s father so busy. His meticulous approach to the vineyard has helped the Lake Country site prosper. Gord can be found tending to each individual vine on the property from sun up to sun down throughout most of the growing season.
